The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) provides the campus community with access to funding opportunities they might not otherwise know about. The problem was that they were relatively unknown, and those that did know of them, didn’t know exactly how to engage them.

When ORSP came to me, they were using a sheet of paper flooded with bulleted information and folding it in half as the vehicle to deliver their message. I wanted to offer them something a little more smart and personable. The resulting brochure adopts a modest but rich color palette, applies some value and transparency, and establishes a distinguished tone through typography and layout.

Conceptually it revolves around the seedling on the cover, growing a little bit each page until it a full-fledged sapling on the back inside cover. I wanted to keep to large, gentle, non-stock photography, and use a clean sense of simplicity to really bring everything together. It’s meant to reflect to the audience how easy working with the client is, and how it can result in authentic, discernible growth.

There was a very positive response to this ‘rebranding’ and I was told many from the community have been specifically complimentary towards the new material.
